70 Years Together

Del and Maggie Timmons were married on September 7, 1942. They recently celebrated their 70^th anniversary, a rare milestone, at the Village of Westland, an independent senior residence.

They decided to marry in Neapolitan, Ohio only two weeks before he headed off to World War II.  After Del returned from the war, they made their home in Dearborn, MI and raised two children, Bill and Bonnie.  Now, their family includes six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Recently, Del and Maggie celebrated their 70^th anniversary and they did not celebrate this huge event alone. The Village of Westland and the Homestead Health Care staff coordinated a celebration with a cake and lots of folk to wish them well.
